Another redevelopment project about to get underway in downtown Madison

Carroll St. (at right in photos) has for nearly a century served thousands of nontraditional students. [snip] For about 50 years, the campus sat next to Central High School, a melting pot of diversity where many immigrants’ children attended, according to Timothy Bruer, a former City Council member who attended Central High School through his sophomore year when the school closed in 1969 .
